“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee – his hands can’t hit what his eyes can’t see”
Muhammad Ali – 1964
When Muhammad Ali punches his way into your card practice, you better pay attention, or he will jab away until you finally get the message!
Embarrassed as I am to admit this – it took three cards and *clears throat* another two days before I finally and respectfully paid attention.
But what was it that ‘The Greatest’ boxer of all time wanted me to see?
The POWER of Brain Dumping
If you have read my Easy 7 Steps Oracle Card Process article, you know that Brain Dumping is a crucial step in my Oracle card practice.
I believe that offloading everything you know about the Oracle card subject and all those extra little clues – is the best thing you can do to boost the enjoyment of your card practice.
You just have to trust the process.
Don’t try to work out
- where your information is coming from
- if it’s relevant
- fact or fiction
- spelt correctly
- if you have gotten the details right
- if it Matches with the Oracle deck guidebook
It doesn’t matter.
As you will see below, the Power of Brain Dumping is its randomness – it’s non linear, grasping-at-straws exploration of your memory banks and intuition.
Judgement has no place in your Oracle card practice or mine.
Rolling with the punches
Let’s get off the ropes and look at what I noted down about Bee – word for (misspelt) word, weird grammar, bad doodles – the lot.
Okay, maybe not the lot because I have redrawn my doodles in Procreate. That’s because I like to colour co-ordinate my blog article content. Even the badly drawn stuff.

My Bee Oracle card interpretation:
Power Up! Can’t rest on your laurels there is still much work to be done But make sure to Power Down each day – rest + restore for tomorrow.
My Key Points:
What Powers you Up / Down
Find what works for YOUR Mind, Body, Soul
As you can see, I write down everything that pops into my head. I don’t worry if it is logical or correct; I go with the flow and see where it takes me – usually to a card meaning that makes sense to me.
Bee you and Do your sting
Interesting as my take on the Oracle card meaning is, what is more revealing is why my brain chose Boxing and Muhammad Ali to help me get there.
Do you think of boxing when you see a Bee?
So why did boxing references appear in three of my Oracle card readings?
I think I have the answer.
“The Way YOU do things is the key to personal power“
Animal Kin Oracle Cards – Sarah Wilder
Researching the boxing legend, I discovered that Ali was not considered a particularly good boxer – or rather, he was not ‘technically skilled’ like his opponents. He didn’t even have the right physique.
In fact, nothing he ever did or said matched the expectations of trainers, managers, opponents, audiences or even the US government.
He danced to his own tune.
“I am an ordinary man who worked hard to develop the talents I was given. I believed in myself, and I believe in the goodness of others.”
Muhammad Ali trained six days a week, boxed his way to glory and was a humanitarian and peace advocate dedicated to improving people’s lives.
Talk about being ‘The Greatest’ Bee there ever was!
Ding Ding – we have a winner!
It was definitely not by accident that Ali strapped on his golden gloves and entered my card reading. Not only is he the perfect memory anchor for Bee. But he helped me recognise the value of sharing my own Brain Dump notes with you – warts ’n’ all!
“No matter how you may appear physically, you are powerful beyond all rational measure, and that by taking a unique approach to achieving things…you can tap into your personal power”
