Getting it wrong with this Goddess Oracle – Yemaya

Don’t you hate being asked to buy into something without knowing what it is or how it works? Me too.

This is why, in return for bankrolling my Easy 7-Step card process and product Printable – Oracle Cards Worksheets, I will share with you a few of my Oracle card interpretations and meanings. To keep it interesting, I will only cover Steps 2-7.

Disclaimer – I don’t care about spelling, punctuation, or even if what I write down during brain dumping is correct – I just go with the flow. If it pops into my head, it goes on paper.

Do my card interpretations always Match with the Oracle Card guidebook? Nope, and that’s okay because what we come up with is usually way more exciting, and in most instances, more relevant to us.

Turtle – peaceful, ancient Wisdom – travel -Journey (loner) – Independent – methodical – knows its end goal.

Mermaid – Folktale lured sailors to death – Ariel style – found Prince gave up her mermaid – sadness – lost family + community

Silver – spiritual colour like Gold – Purity like white – all that Glitters…

Scallop – nourishment – Venus – Love Pearls -of Wisdom, wealth

Associated with maturity, grace, gentleness

Crown – Top of pecking order – nobility, reached peak of knowledge
Orchids – Sexual energy – Vanilla – Tropical

Nautilus – spiral Fibonacci – perfection – design principle = Beauty

Water – emotions, knowledge, washing away sins

Semi nakedness – Be you, be comfortable in your own skin – exposure

Extra Brain Dump Notes:

Fairy Godmother – granting wishes – what kind? Spirals Nautilus & Mermaid Tail – like a tunnel – not infinity – Selkie’s story is sad. This feels the opposite – more uplifting. Why can I never remember anything about Turtle?! Yemaya – South American Goddess – Brazillian maybe?

I am not a fan of word clues and did a really good job of ignoring this one. I did not pick up on this one AT ALL. I went down the magical happy shiny route instead. 

How does this relate to what is going on in your life?

I really need help with marketing, but resisting employing someone else. Instead – head + sand = no marketing.

Step 7 – Look up later:

Research – Yemaya / Yemoja / Iamanja – are there cultural differences between them?
Santeria – What is it, and where in the Caribbean is it practised?

Fact Find – Turtles & Nautilus – I need three good bits of information for each that I can work with.

Curious – Yemaya’s shawl is a fishing net – I am sure I read something about Loki having a magical fishing net the other week.
